The International Pirate Hall of Fame creates an opportunity for those involved in the Pirate Community around the world to celebrate and recognize innovators and leaders in Piracy, past and present. This includes re-enactors, performers, authors, musicians, and more. The International Pirate Hall of Fame is also home to the study of famous Pirates throughout history. This is an ongoing project to preserve the historical documentation of the  men and women who have greatly contributed to the legend and history of Pirates and Piracy, and to recognize them for their accomplishments, both good and evil.
